1. The narrator enters into the old man's bedroom.
2. The narrator pulls the bed over the old man's body.
3. The narrator cuts the old man's body into pieces and puts them under the wooden floor.
4. The police arrives because of a neighbor's report.
5. The narrator starts shouting because of a sound he hears.

c) Provide important characteristics.
"The murderer"

"The old man"
- He has a pale, blue eye.
- His eye looks like the eye of a vulture.

3. The story takes place in the house of the narrator, in the old man's bedroom, at night.

5. The narrator pulled the old man out of his bed, threw it over him, killing the man by suffocation.

6. Because he couldn't stand the eye of the old man, he hated it.

7. The murderer cuts the body into pieces and hides them under the wooden floor.

8. He hears what he believes is the sound of the beating of the old man's heart.
