SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE 5 ORANGE PIPS. SUMMARY.

9) Holmes concluded that John was in real danger. The letters "KKK" stood for "Ku Klux Klan", a group against equality for black people.

10) Elias was part of the Ku Klux Klan and he sent the pips to the people on the burnt piece of paper.


The Last deaths

11) John Openshaw died. He was killed by the men of the letters.

12) Holmes discovered that Captain James Colhum and his men were responsibles of John's death. They traveled on a ship called "Star".

13) Holmes discovered that the "star" was on the 3 ports from where the letters were sent.Holmes sent a letter with the pips to the men so they get arrested by the american police.

14) The "star" was sailing from England to Georgia in the United States and a storm started. The "star" disappeared.

¿TOMAR O NO TOMAR?



Here we go again. The "revolución pinguina" is back and we must be prepared for it. It is clear that the petitions and demands of thousands of students haven't been fullfilled, it is totally understandable, but let's not forget the pros and cons of these movements. If we lose classes, we have to make them up, and that means saturday mornings. Remember your classmates of Educación Básica, if they don't come to school, who's going to take care of them? Their parents have to work! There's a lot of things to think about, just one thing: take care. Take care of you, take care of your classmates, take care of Colegio Ingles, this school is also yours. Every year, the MINEDUC through their "Inglés abre puertas" program is organizing a tournament for debating teams from schools which belong to the public area. I think that this year we can form a good team to participate and gain experience in this kind of competitions. REINFORCEMENT CLASSES

The English Department has received requests from parents and students in order to have a Reinforcement program for people with specific necessities in English. This program considers 5th to Senior Class' students, who can voluntarily be part of the classes, by paying a $10.000 fee monthly. The classes will start as soon as we have enough students to afford the program. Only the very interested ones are invited to participate, if you don't feel motivated enough, leave that spot to another who will take real advantage of it. The classes will be from 4 P.m. on days to decide. If you want to be part of this, contact your English teacher as soon as possible and give him/her your name.
